2024 What to Wear for Fall Sessions
Deciding what to wear can be really challenging; especially if you’re planning for 4 or more in your family. I’m breaking it down to make it easy. Here are my favorite tips to share. Plus some affiliate links to dresses, accessories and more to consider!
Select your outfit first.
Moms rarely get on the other side of the camera, so let this be your chance to get a new dress and feel your best. THEN coordinate everyone else’s outfit around what you’re wearing.
Coordinate colors (don't match)
Allow personalities to shine with color and patterns. Pick a couple of colors and choose cloths that fit within this color scheme.
Accessories and Layering
Regardless of the weather, consider laying scarfs, jackets, hats, etc. Accessories not only add to your outfit but they can be fun in the photos too. Necklaces are fun for kids to play with or hats to hide behind always create some laughter.
Consider the backdrop
Are we shooting at the beach? A wooded area? or maybe in a lush green area of Balboas Park? Regardless think about the surroundings you'll be in.
Things to avoid:
- Too many patterns (aim to have just 1-2 members have patterns)
- Logos and Characters
